Scotty’s Oil Company began in 1967 with one truck

and a simple philosophy: work hard, treat people

fairly, deliver on-time, and build a business

customers can depend on.

The Company was founded by

Scotty Lankford and his stepson, Bert Bennin.

For sixteen years they worked to build

Scotty’s Oil into a trusted name in petroleum service throughout Central Florida.

Scotty passed unexpectedly in 1983 and Bert and his wife, Angela, grew the business into a

well-established petroleum delivery operation. Together they managed the drivers,logistics,

inventory and daily demands of a growing company. Over time, the business expanded

into fleet fueling, commercial fueling network sites, bulk oil delivery and packaged products.

Like many successful family businesses,

Scotty’s Oil company was also shaped by

dedicated employees who are ingrained into

its history and part of its extended family.

Jon Varney joined the company in 1985 and

learned the business from the ground up

and earned the trust that only comes with time,

hard work and proven loyalty and

reliability.
